Billboard campaign asks men to do more to prevent domestic violence

Article here. Excerpt:

'The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) has placed billboards around the state, including two in the Harrisburg area, to raise awareness.

The billboards are located on 322 near Mushroom Hill Road, and another along Jonestown Road. The goal is to engage men to become more active in the prevention of domestic violence.

PCADV is asking men to initiate conversations with children, especially with boys about healthy relationships.

According to the PCADV, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will be a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking. One in 3 teens will be a victim of dating violence.'

Of course anyone who actually visits their website would think otherwise. It looks like a typical feminist anti-DV website where DV is portrayed as solely a male vs. female phenomenon. Hell, on their front page it has a pledge for males to "end gender violence".

Wow. I think it's rather sad that here we have an organization that admits that men are affected too and that the numbers are as close as 1 in 3 and 1 in 4, yet they still act like men are never victims of female abuse! Colour me not surprised in the least. I had a tinge of hope when I saw that male victims were actually being discussed for a change, but I suppose the part of the article that said "especially boys" should have really been a red flag.
