Article here. Looks like some people find the idea of sexbots most threatening indeed! Excerpt:
'There is nothing less erotic than someone believing or insisting that whatever else might be going on in another person’s mind – even “I do not want this” – they still have the right to have their “sexual needs” met. The people who are attracted to the idea of sex robots are the people who look at women and sex in this way. The idea that business and technology are so keen to oblige such narcissistic and sociopathic individuals is repellent.

There’s always been a bit of sniggering about men who use prostitutes (though real contempt, counterintuitively, is directed at the women involved), or who “can’t get a girlfriend”. Blow-up dolls have always been a joke, as have “wankers”. This too is pitiless, petty stuff. Maybe it’s time to take misogynistic sexual dysfunction more seriously. Maybe people who want to buy sex robots need to present the agreement of a couple of doctors, before they are judged emotionally restricted enough to need to retreat to such an inhuman fantasy. Or maybe, out of respect for women, this technology should just be rejected.'

What's the difference, really? These sexbots are nothing more than masturbatory instruments, just as Vibrators and Dildos are. They are just high tech "Vibrators" and "Dildos".
Funny though, that we women are never shamed for using such things as Vibrators and Dildos or other such things. We are not accused of "Seeing men as only a penis". But if the same mentality that is applied to men was applied to us, that is exactly what we would be told. But we are not. Only men are shamed & blamed, in this way.
In reality, Feminists (and like-minded women, as a whole) realize that these sex robots are a threat to women. But not in the way Feminists, "Progressives", SJWs, etc. claim the sex bots are a threat to women.
Women, (by and large) know that the one commodity we can control men with is...
...wait for it... SEX.
With the advent and distribution of the sex robots, we, women will lose oh so MUCH power over men, it isn't even funny!
Feminists know this. And so do most women, in general.
That is the REAL objection to these sex bots. Not "Rape" and/or "Violence against women", and all that bollocks.
No.., These sex bots are competition! And..., they are our replacements. These are the only "threats" this phenomenon poses to women. Nothing more, nothing less.
Btw, note that feminists are not demanding that the "MALE" sex bots be banned.., only the "FEMALE" ones.
In any case, it is we women, not men, that are to "blame" for the possible "predicament" we may find ourselves in. We have turned an apathetic blind eye to the issues, sufferings and violation of our men's human rights. We have nagged men and emasculated them, and insulted them, and marginalized them like nothing I've ever seen, in my lifetime. We have derided men, debased them, mocked them, and proclaimed we need them "like a fish needs a bicycle".
If the tables were turned (and in essence, they are likely to be so, soon enough)how would we, women react to being treated, and viewed and abandoned by men, as we have treated, viewed and abandoned them?
We would react the same way, or in a similar fashion.
In fact, we rather have, in a sense. We replaced men with Big Government.
Well.., it seems men are about to return the favour, to us. And replace us, PERIOD!
We should be mad at ourselves, not at men. We brought this upon ourselves.
Now... as so many feminists have enjoyed saying to men... "What goes around, comes around."
My fellow ladies... We are very likely about to get a dose of our own metaphorical medicine.

Feminists complain men treat women as sex objects.
But it might be worse if men quit treating men women as sex objects--and found a replacement.
What men tire of when it comes to sex is all the hoops they have to jump through just to get some. The robot fixes that problem--just as the dildo fixes the problem for the woman. Or reading "Fifty Shades of Gray." Which I first thought was a paint catalog. :)
