Article here. Excerpt:
'Sam’s Club black, female CEO Rosalind Brewer told CNN’s Poppy Harlow that she recently met with a supplier whose executive team was comprised of all white males.
“Just today we met with a supplier and the entire other side of the table was all Caucasian males,” she told Harlow who asked her what she said to them.
“I decided not to talk about it directly with his folks in the room because there were actually no female, like, levels down,” she said. “I’m gonna place a call to him.”
Wow.
She also said she uses her position to “nudge,” Sam’s Clubs partners and suppliers to hire more minorities and women for the top spots.
This philosophy is not discrimination how?'

I have no issue... BUT
Affirmative action (for women or minorities) is a hotly contested issue, as evidenced by the recent Supreme Court review of such programs at U.Texas (with decision pending).
I sort of can understand such programs (and will leave it at that: SORT OF)
So let's assume these five white men managed to work their way through what they perceive to be a hostile bidding system to white men.
They got through!
Only to be foiled ONCE AGAIN!
Women and minorities cannot have it BOTH WAYS. They cannot expect the federal government to handle this issue in ways that are delicate and respectful (in the public arena) and then, AGAIN, have a person do it AGAIN (in the private arena)
So if this woman is allowed to make such decisions (PRIVATELY), I now fully support the dismantling of ALL PUBLIC AFFIRMATIVE ACTION programs: all programs that give women and minorities extra points on civil project bidding wars and admission into schools.
