Faculty At University Firmly Reject ‘Trigger Warnings’

Story here. Excerpt:
'A faculty resolution passed at American University (AU) in Washington, D.C., stands out as one of the most vocal and direct condemnations of the “trigger warning” phenomenon sweeping college campuses.
The resolution, passed unanimously by AU’s faculty senate, lays out in no uncertain terms that trigger warnings are wholly incompatible with the intellectual environment a university is supposed to foster.
“For hundreds of years, the pursuit of knowledge has been at the center of university life,” the resolution declares. “Unfettered discourse, no matter how controversial, inconvenient, or uncomfortable, is a condition necessary to that pursuit.”'

intellectual environment on campus?
'hey teacher dude, isn't that like the whole global warming environment thingy?'
you made me laugh. too early. they aren't really serious about teaching anymore ya know. in today's affirmative action world, creating an 'intellectual environment' on campus would be akin to teaching brain surgery to chimps.
otoh, I'm VERY impressed by kate upton's many, many talents, as shown in the
adjacent video. they must have glued that bikini to her, uh, ...assets. that thing did not want to stay up. she really heats up my immediate environment.
and why, oh why won't she answer my tweets?
whoops! I tink I pressed da rong trigger warning. pesky wabbit!
sorry, but this all falls into the category of campus comedy these days. makes one wonder just what sort of funny insanity the loony-toons left will produce next? trigger warnings. that's good stuff.
