'“She admitted in court to having sexual contact in 2009 with two boys who were age 10 and 12 at the time, Smith-Norton said. The sexual contact came to light in late 2014 after the boys stepped forward and talked to authorities. When these discrepancies come up in the news, most see a male/female gender bias for the criminals, which is certainly there. As a mother of a son, however, I see a lack of respect for the little boys. The 6- and 8-year-old little boys were violated just a surely as the 6-year-old little girl, only the boys’ attacker got a relative slap on the wrist.'

slap vs decades behind bars
women typically get lesser sentences for the same crimes; and, this 'honorable justice' is magnified when the crimes are sexual in nature. a woman last week in the news got quite a few weekends picking up paper for repeated sex w/ a little boy, whereas a guy locally got 26 years for just touching a little girl 'down there', or so said the little girl. over 300 men have been released (w/ avg. time served over 17 years) by the "Innocence Project" because of d.n.a. evidence accidentally captured on clothing accidentally saved in an era where d.n.a. wasn't fully understood. another inherent problem being that many d.a.'s don't like being wrong, so permission to test years later ... well, I think you get it.
so to answer the question of choice, to be a man vs woman in an sexual arrest scenario, I would definitely want to be a man.
I like my weekends free.
