It is full of propaganda, vilifies gaming and gamers, and is likely to discourage young women from playing. Does this matter, or is it all just a game? the gaming industry is primarily targeted to pre adolescence and adolescent BOYS!
yes, yes, the number of female gamers is growing, but not yet near the number of boys.
they have already tried marketing games to girls of the same age bracket, using similar formulas, to little or no avail.
this same tired old argument is said of comic books (graphic novels) that the female characters are to "sexy", and the like. (they never seem to notice that the male heroes also wear skin-tight costumes..., but i guess that's somehow... ..."different".) this is yet again because the largest consumers of comics is again, YOUNG MALES.
perhaps soap operas should start featuring WOMEN shirtless, the way they do many of the men on these programs. then perhaps the male audience for soaps would increase. ..oh... no. wait... we can't have that.
