U.Va. Seeking Felony Charges for Vandalism of Fraternity
Submitted by Mastodon on Tue, 2014-12-23 10:01
Story here.
'Leaders with the University of Virginia are seeking felony charges against whoever is responsible for vandalizing the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house.
The vandals threw dangerous objects, including bottles and glass at a private home and the damage to the house may add up to more than $1,000.
The face of the fraternity house was destroyed following accusations published by Rolling Stone magazine made by a girl named "Jackie," who said she was raped by several members of the fraternity.
The student activist who led the vandalism attack said he does not have any regrets.
The fraternity house is still vacant following the attacks.'

Notice the 'activist' was a 'he'
Again, another lesson, but one too many men (esp. younger ones) miss over and over: in the rush to appear chivalrous, compete for female approval, and gain status, a man takes at face value immediately any accusation of wrongdoing from a woman pointed at a man or men, esp. if it involves sexual criminality. Not waiting to see how facts are vetted or to try to himself, he codependent-white-knights himself into committing a crime. In this case, only vandalism/property damage. I say "only" because others have doofus-headed themselves into life in jail or worse for grabbing their trusty 12-gauge and goin' a-posse-in' for the cur with no intent on arresting him, but rather killing him. The dead man, guilty or not of rape, still has been murdered. Obviously it's much worse a mistake should the murder victim have been innocent. (Most US states and many countries consider killing a person fleeing a murder or attempted murder, an armed robbery or attempt thereof, or a forcible rape or attempt thereof of oneself or another, to be justified; however in all cases the killer of the perp must know, as legally defined, the crime happened or was happening. This is only supportable if the perp's killer is the victim or comes upon or is present on scene when the crime or attempt takes place; acting after the fact based on hearsay, which includes the now-alleged victim's complaint to the now-alleged perp's killer, isn't sufficient. At that point, it's a police matter. Personally, I think this is exactly as it should be.) But no matter what, Mr. White Knight has just ridden head-long into the millenia-old Nymphotropic Man-Trap. What this fool did is a lesson learned if not by him than by those paying attention to the price of siding with the misandrist presumed-guilty crowd running the show on today's toxic college campuses.
