"Self-Indulgent and Delusional"

Essay here. Excerpt:

'In a society, culture, and system as complex as ours it is absolutely ridiculous to assume that all of the victimization occurs to women and that all of the advantage comes to men. Yet those are the assumptions. Men have plenty to complain about and women have significant powers. It has always been this way, but after 40 years of omnipresent feminism, today's imbalance is greater than ever. I suppose this is because of strong remnants of chivalry. Men must be strong and never complain. Men must always protect and help women. This is a sexist attitude that women, including feminist women, have encouraged and demanded instead of placing where it belongs, in the dustbin of history.

Women have tremendous power in society today. This often results in talk of their superiority. At the same time and often concerning the same topics, women complain constantly about victimization, even when men and other groups are victimized more. I suppose this constant focus on women's victimization is a result of their hyper-narcissism---they are constantly focusing on themselves. But it results in women chauvinistically gaining even more power and attention. This hyper-narcissism also leads to much hypocrisy---women think they deserve to operate under different rules than men.'

Great essay. Here are a few recent examples of women's indulgence and hypocrisy locally.

At Western Washington University, in Bellingham, there was a big controversy two years ago---almost all of the student government was male. The school newspaper printed several articles complaining of the lack of diversity. Seminars were formed for women to help and encourage them to run for student government. This year the student government is almost all female. There have been no articles in the student paper about this and no seminars formed to help and encourage men to run for student government. No cries of lack of diversity.

The university also has seven student clubs predominantly for women. (Technically, clubs cannot exclude any students, but how many men want to attend meetings of the Vagina Club? This is an actual club at the university.) The school also has one club predominantly for men. Care to guess? The one student club for men is for men against violence against women.

Also, the Downtown Bellingham Partnership discovered "that the majority of their audience were women, so the bulk of the events and activities they now produce are directed towards the interest of women." Obviously, if the majority of their audience were men, they would have tried to produce more events for women to obtain some gender equality. The hypocrisy.

The local community college, as well as providing credit courses, also sponsors "continuing education" or "just for fun" classes. The vast majority of these classes lean toward women. Examples include home and garden, pilates, astrology, past-life regression, calligraphy, sewing, art, food and wine, writing a journal, travel, and dance.

I'm sure everyone can add more examples.
