'First Lady Michelle Obama shared some thoughts about women versus men during a conversation with former First Lady Laura Bush at the U.S Africa Leaders Summit in Washington D.C.

Obama explained that as First Lady it was important to remember to use the position to highlight their personal interests.

“We can’t waste this spotlight, it is temporary and life is short and change is needed and women are smarter than men. And the men can’t complain because you’re outnumbered today,” she said as the audience laughed. '

And white people are smarter than blacks. Blacks can't complain because whites outnumber them (at least here in the US, anyway).

Prove it!

I'm tired of these cocky women acting like they're smarter. I say they should put their money where their mouth is. How are women smarter than men? What evidence exists to back up your claim?

None . . . well there you go.

While we're on the topic though, it is a well known fact that men are likelier than women to be geniuses. At the same time though, men are also likelier to have low IQs as well. So to claim that women are smarter than men or men are smarter than women is a fallacious claim.

I saw an intelligence curve plotting men and women's intelligence it was very telling. the instructor explained that the (median) curve drawn through the data points had women's intelligence following along their median intelligence curve much more closely than men's. iow, women have less of an average difference between indiividuals. men, who overall averaged somewhat higher, also had some data points all over the place, above and below the average. this was said to explain the lack of geniuses among women, as well as their lack of much lower i.q.'s.

makes sense to me, since maybe women need to be more intellectually homogeneous around children. maybe these spikes in men's intelligence were due to evolutionary requirements for survival as well. our brains also weigh more on average.

trying to get a handle on this is probably a lot like trying to figure out intelligence differences among races. sometimes people are not at all what they seem to be, eh michael?
