Hillary Clinton: Men also responsible for women's rights

Article here.

'Hillary Rodham Clinton says that men are also responsible for advancing rights and opportunities for women around the world.

The former secretary of state says "it's not a women's issue" but, in her words, "a responsibility that we all share."

On Tuesday, Clinton presided over Georgetown University's annual Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards for Advancing Women in Peace and Security. She says it's not a mistake but a message that all three winners are men.

Clinton is contemplating a run for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016.

The former first lady says that everyone suffers when women are marginalized and that everyone benefits when women and girls have a chance to participate fully alongside men and boys in all facets of life, including politics.'

Wouldn't argue with her in that everyone involved in advancing human rights anywhere they can ought to be concerned about systemic denial of such opportunities as education beyond the most basic (or at all) for girls and women, for example, or subjecting them to "arranged marriages", etc. -- but should not people also be concerned for boys and men, too? After all, what kind of right is anything if said boy or man also has to work 16 hrs. a day just to keep him and his family in rice, lentils, or whatever they can get? And shouldn't the the scope of "Her Imperial Feministy" ("HIF" for short), as I like to call her when she has stepped into her monarchical pep-talk mode, also include men dragged off in the middle of the night because the Powers-That-Be in their countries don't like them assuming the temerity to disagree with their policies either in public or private?

Of course there are gender-specific denials of human rights inflicted on women in many parts of the world. But likewise, there are many inflicted on men, too. HIF is the kind of person who doesn't see two sides of a coin. She has the classic feminist tunnel vision which pretty much guarantees that such will eventually, if not already, become caricatures of themselves. The only problem is, unlike the kind you get by paying a street artist $20 while at a town or village fair, this one actually thinks the drawing isn't the least bit funny. They mean what they say, no matter how nutty is is.

Never underestimate the power of a nutcase to make everyone else really miserable. Just watch the news on any given day, or worse still for those who can't get enough misery by getting their friends to water-board them, just watch a Hillary speech on Youtube. Keep a bucket or trash can nearby for convenient chow-blowing.
