'The Paris-based sextremist group Femen says it's against the sexualization and objectification of women.

But to achieve this goal, its members go topless in front of the cameras and shout political slogans decrying organized religion, political tyranny, homophobia, and sexism.

So have Femen members become sex objects even though they so vehemently declare that they're opposed to patriarchy?

... we'd get tazered, maced, and quite possibly shot (definitely so in some countries).

It never ceases to amaze me the degree to which women can get away with law-breaking behaviors that would be ruthlessly oppressed if men engaged in them. Aside from the fact they do not bear weapons or threaten to do so (and to be fair, I am not aware of any threat-issuing of any kind that they do), can you imagine groups of men organizing like this and meeting in secret in different countries the world over to train each other in a semi-militaristic fashion to engage purposefully in behavior considered (rightly or wrongly) to be unlawful and disruptive?

I have no doubt in my mind it would get very ugly very quickly. But a few women stripping waist-up and screaming and yelling and knocking things down, breaking stuff, harassing people, etc.? In no video report I have seen showing Femen protesters getting arrested have I seen a single weapon drawn, of any kind, by arresting authorities. But as I said, if a man did this, even a relatively small and weak-looking man, I am quite sure his chances of getting shot/sprayed with something would be very good.

In fact, he was just being rude; he wasn't even yelling, running around semi-clothed, etc.:

Why aren't these women in jail??? They are clearly breaking the law, and they record everything. I have no idea how they can walk right up, stage a protest which includes public nudity, destruction of property and whatever else, and then walk away. How do they get away with this?
