'Why being a woman makes me a better police detective'

Article here. Excerpt:

'I am a senior police officer and I see myself first and foremost as a policing professional who happens to be a woman. On the other hand, as a citizen, a wife, a mother, a daughter and a friend, I see clearly that I am a proud woman who happens to be an experienced, well-trained and skilled police officer. As always, it is a matter of balance – a skill that most women develop as a matter of routine.

But does maintaining that balance affect the way I do my job? Am I a better police officer for being a woman? Others may have a view on that, but for me, the honest answer to both questions is yes.

During my service I have developed a leadership style based on empathy, encouragement and compassion. I try to listen, to lead by example, to work hard to gain the professional respect of my colleagues – men and women. But in policing terms I make it very clear that I command. None of these is an exclusively female attribute, but they all contribute to a style which I believe is based on my gender.'

A woman insisting she's better in an "historically male-dominated profession" because she's a woman with a uniquely womanly perspective... Wow, never heard that before!

Men are categorically better neurosurgeons because they bring attributes that are uniquely masculine. Male neurosurgeons are always better than female ones-- even if the male neurosurgeon has developed vvveerryy shaaaky hhhannddss... :)

Sometimes, people well and truly outdo themselves in ludicrousness.

Matt, I agree! But there is more that we always forget.

The problem with sexist trash talk like this is that these arrogant feminists think they can get away with simply assuming women have more compassion.

I hate to break it to them, but who, actually, wrote most of the symphonies? Not compassionate women! Compassionate men.

Men created almost all (almost ALL) the paintings, sculptures, symphonies, operas, chamber music, literature, poetry and on and on and on and on.

These feminists are so arrogant, so self-centered, so egotistical, that they have blinded themselves and actually think they have more feelings than men.

How feminist of them.
