'US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has committed US$11.4 million to support the Government’s national Voluntary Male Medical Circumcision, programme in a bid to reduce HIV infections.
American Ambassador to Zambia Mark Storella said this during the launch of the VMMC programme in chief Nondo’s area in Mbala last Thursday.
Mr Storella said men have an extraordinary opportunity through circumcision to reduce the risk of HIV infection by about 60 percent, making circumcision a pillar of HIV prevention.'

One day...
... I don't know when, this entire medical fraud will be exposed. All that's happening here is the mass collection of men's foreskins for commercial and who knows what other use.
When the lid finally comes off this story, I really do wonder what the response in these countries will look like.
prez dumbarse
also promised $56 mil. to south africa when he was there for circumcision to combat aids (talk about weird science). maybe they are still using them in women's cosmetics. wasn't it oprah's company doing that?
Yes, it was
One of Oprah's companies, yes. Not sure if she's still in on it but if not her, it's someone else. But face creams are the tip of the 'berg. The motivation here is coming from the gov't and undoubtedly local officials in these countries are in cahoots.
The foreskins are desired for developing what will be hugely expensive medical procedures to restore all manner of damaged or diseased tissues. If you have a problem like that, you'll pay anything. If gov't research can come up with valid clinical procedures and patent or license them-- or dispense treatments exclusively via gov't medical program(s)-- the profit potential is HUGE.
As I've explained in other posts, simple reason shows circumcision can't have a whit of an effect on STD transmittal; it simply doesn't stand up to scrutiny. There must be another reason why the US gov't, which has never shown any interest in pursuing perfectly altruistic, no-strings-attached humanitarian programs in sub-Saharan Africa, suddenly has seen the light-- decades after HIV started killing off millions of Africans. What changed? Simple: There's now Big Money in amputating parts of males' penises due to medical research "opportunities". As always, Follow The Money.
