White House petition aims to end male-only military draft
Article here. Excerpt:
'A petition on the White House’s “We the People” Web page contends that a military draft covering men, but not women, is discriminatory and should be abolished.
“The Selective Service System is discriminatory against the young men of the United States of America,” the petition reads, “and should be considered unfair and unethical.”
“As the law stands young men must sign up for Selective Service for a possible military draft when they turn eighteen,” the petition notes. “If they do not they risk jail sentences, huge fines, or the denial of government services or jobs. Young women do not face the same requirements or penalties.”...
“To require only half of our citizens to register for such a program is not only government-sponsored sexism, but also a breach of their autonomy as human beings.”'

The draft itself is a human rights violation, but if it exists..
... it ought to be applicable to ppl of both sexes.
SSS thinks women are less able than retarded men
The U.S. Selective Service System requires retarded men to register with them as well as physically handicapped men, but no women are required to register with the SSS.
Obviously, the U.S. SSS is saying all women are less able than retarded and/or physically handicapped men, but we hear nothing about that from organizations like NOW, or the Feminist Majority. Why?
Because...
... they want more-than-equal rights for women, plus any privileges they can get; they don't however want equal responsibilities.
Alan Alda, a well-known feminist, once famously said in a speech in Seneca Falls, NY, quoting Susan B. Anthony: "Men, their rights, and nothing more; women, their rights, and nothing less."
That operational protocol, established by the primary co-founder of modern western feminism, remains firmly in place to this day. Feminism is not about equal rights and responsibilities for the sexes; it's about greater rights and privileges for women as compared to men. Until ppl get this, they're going to continue to falsely believe that all feminists seek is equality. By no means is that all they seek; equality is far too pedestrian a goal for those with such ambition.
