'SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (CBS St. Louis/AP) — A prison inmate in South Dakota is suing a hospital for performing a circumcision on him nearly 30 years ago.
Twenty-eight-year-old Dean Cochrun is imprisoned at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls for kidnapping. He’s suing Sanford Hospital, previously known as Sioux Valley Hospital, for performing the circumcision when he was an infant.
Cochrun says in a complaint filed Friday in federal court that he was “recently made aware of the fact that I had been circumcised,” and that the procedure has left him feeling inadequate and unable to fully enjoy sex.'

Why is this news?
Obviously the editors of this newspaper, and the stooge reporter who follows their orders, seek to put down the men's movement, and its legitimate complaints about the double standards surrounding female and male "circumcision." By using words like "recently made aware" [that he was circumcised], the author makes the man involved seem stupid and ill-informed. The fact that he was not aware that his parents authorized the procedure, and is thus suing the wrong party, that too erodes his credibility. It is his parents that he should be suing.
In a broader context, I take the publication of articles like this as a good sign. Attempts at put-down and ridicule are at least getting the word out. The men's liberation movement, and men's rights, are now being talked about more widely, and the feminists and their functionaries are sufficiently worried that they would publish these put-down pieces. They have moved up from simply ignoring us. Now they are actively trying to discredit us. This is progress.
