NYC to spend $127M on minority programs for men

'NEW YORK (AP) — New York City will spend $127 million in public and private funds on programs designed to help young black and Latino men.
Billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg will kick in $30 million from his foundation and hedge fund manager George Soros will match that amount, according to the mayor's office. The remaining $67.5 million will be paid by the city.
The Young Men's Initiative was first reported by The New York Times on Wednesday. The mayor's office called it the nation's "boldest and most comprehensive effort to tackle the broad disparities slowing the advancement of black and Latino young men" in a statement.
It will include job placement, fatherhood classes and training for probation officers and school staff on how to help the young men get ahead. More than a dozen city agencies will be involved.'

Even though they're winning in the work world...
Finally a program for men!
I recently objected to a notice for a solar panel installer training program for women only. I got the usual accusations from a feminist, specifically "You know nothing about the Patriarchy, and that's why you would say something about this" [in other words, don't you dare say anything]. This woman even said that it was "offensive" that I would object. I told her that, in the US, young men now have a higher unemployment rate than young women, and that young men who had been working in the building trades particularly need this training. No response coming my way to that... I guess there is no logical response, that would refute this point, only more venom that she could throw in my direction. That seems to be the end of my spat with her, but I could have said that men are still supposed to be the family breadwinners, yet they are the ones having the most trouble in the job market these days. In spite of these objective and indisputable facts, still the feminists claim they need more special treatment, more "women only" programs... it's so selfish and disgusting that they act that way...
What really gets me is that the woman who was making such a big deal about the fact that I spoke up about the discrimination of the "women only" installer class, she's telling everybody how she's looking for a husband, and how there are "no good men around here." With an anti-male attitude like hers, I'm not surprised that no young men are interested in her... Because her biological clock is going off, she thinks men should cooperate, to give her what she wants (babies). Women need to get real these days. They need to stop objectifying men, stop looking at men as though they are sperm donors, ATM machines, and fantasy fulfillment tools.

40 years ago it was black young men only now it is black and Latino young men who are to get their minds right about how to act in this matriarchy. Nothing really new here.
