Article here. Not that much different from why men cheat, are they? And, women are no less likely to cheat than men, according to this other article. Excerpt:

When it's said that a woman cheats for emotional reasons it's a way of justifying why a woman cheats, and to blame the a man that the woman is cheating on.

The desire for revenge is definitely one of the "emotional" reasons women cheat. Cheating should be wrong regardless of if it's done for emotional or physical reasons, but doing it out of hatred for a man who wasn't "attentive," "passionate" or pliant enough is quite evil.
