Australia: After almost three years, missing son finally surfaces
Submitted by Matt on Fri, 2010-09-10 02:17
Story here. Excerpt:
'Almost three years after his son went missing, former NSW deputy fire chief Ken Thompson has learnt the six-year-old boy is in Amsterdam.
Andrew Thompson was three years old when he was abducted in Sydney by his mother, Melinda Stratton, on April 24, 2008, after a custody battle.
Ms Stratton eluded the Australian Federal Police, Interpol and missing children's organisations until she was picked up on Monday after attempting to enrol Andrew in school.'

Check out this article from the same source where a "child protection expert" (guess the gender) holds forth on the dreadful consequences to the child of making his mother pay the piper and thinks she would never have abducted the child if the courts let her get away with making wild, false accusations against his father. Sheesh.
Also, there's a mangina who thinks "Family Courts interpret [the law] as giving inalienable paramountcy to the rights of fathers". Yeah. right.
