Central Kenya worst hit by boys’ poor learning
Story here. Excerpt:
'The boy child education in Central Kenya is the worst hit in the country, according to Gender and Children’s Affairs minister Esther Murugi.
Addressing education stakeholders at Rurii stadium in Kiria-ini where she officiated the second Mathioya district education and prayer day at the weekend, the minister said the province had recorded an enrolment of 10,000 pupils less than that of girls.
The minister attributed the discrepancy to irresponsible fathers who had neglected their role of guiding boys.
She said a recent survey in the province revealed that men spend only 15 minutes per week with their sons leaving parental responsibility entirely to their wives.
Consequently, the minister said, teenage boys had begun emulating what they see their mothers do among them braiding hair and piercing ears.
“That’s why you see young men behaving like females,” said Ms Murugi.'

Again, dad's fault
Like clockwork. Maybe the dads are busy working to keep a roof over the kids' heads, hmmm?
fathers, not. wood float, teacher sink. word burn, burnt out dad
It seems that she is just absolute trash, but pleasantly transparent!
[my recreation of her speech] "its men's fault! how do I know you ask. its simple... The fathers are not raising the boys, instead, the mothers are. Therefore the boys become like girls. Except the boys are only like girls when it comes to grooming and preoccupation with appearances but not when it comes to school. And the girls are only acting like girls when when they are going to school and not spending idle time on grooming. On a extremely related note did you know that girls can be molested in school. Well, its a good thing public institutions took appropriate action. Public institutions, hmmmmm, that's what I'm a part of... an institute for the welfare of children and gender protection and that means I ... you see its men's fault."
