"Circumcision ring cuts AIDS risk in Africa"
Article here. I guess the MSN pro-male-genital-mutilation-and-junk-science shills decided the momentum around MGM in Africa had died down a bit too much and so they had to resurrect it. A "new invention" it seems has been uncorked that slowly and effortlessly mutilates a man's penis all in the name of creating a false sense of security for everyone that having "unprotected sex" will now no longer place one at risk of getting HIV. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is financing it, too (which should come as no surprise since MSN is owned by the Gateses... well, eventually, several rings up the corporate ownership ladder). Excerpt:
'The most powerful force against AIDS in Africa may be circumcision, a procedure that's easily done in the developed world. But it's a challenge on a continent where there are too few medical workers and a reluctance by men for cultural reasons and fear of pain.
Now there may be a new weapon in the arsenal — a ring-shaped device that is mostly painless and requires less time for health workers.
The Chinese-developed device, the ShangRing, has been tested in a small study in Kenya and a larger test is set for later this year. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will invest about $4 million into studying the device.
The drawback is that men must wear the ShangRing for 10 days, but at least one man who tried it found it surprisingly painless.'
Contact info for the Gates Foundation is here should you be inclined to voice your disapproval.

Gates Foundation
This is terrible!!
I have left a comment for the Gates Foundation.
Several statements in the article are very disturbing such as:
> Experts are also concerned men who get circumcised will mistakenly think they are immune to HIV. That was the case for Samson Agalo, a bicycle taxi operator from Kisumu, Kenya, who recently had a circumcision — and has been having sex with multiple partners ever since. "After going for the cut, you don't need condoms," he said.
FYI- the Gates Foundation funds many things that I hate such as "new math". This is 'female friendly' math that is controversial as it does not rely on accuracy, but rather explanation. They do not directly support this math, but they support the use of standardized tests that use the female/explanation type math, and once you test math that way, then you have to teach math that way, then change curricula, etc.
Bill Gates is obviously a great software developer, but I question his philanthropy projects.
Say What?
Circumcision is a barbaric and debunked medical procedure.
The main cause of AIDS is having unprotected sex with multiple partners not having a foreskin.
This is not rocket science but Bill Gates just doesn't get it.
