Woman Arrested for Throwing Pot of Hot Grease on Husband

Story here. Excerpt:

'A Greenwood woman was arrested on Thursday after throwing a pot of hot grease on her husband.
...
According to Greenwood City Police department reports, officers were dispatched to Pelzer Street in reference to an assault. When officers arrived they spoke with Ms. Coates who stated she had been assaulted by her husband, Johnny Coates. Coates explained to officers she had been preparing dinner when her husband entered the residence “cursing and yelling” at her.

When Mr. Coates was questioned by officers he claimed his wife had started arguing with him over money. He stated while arguing his wife began hitting him on his shoulder with her cane. He stated he tried to take the cane away from her, but she proceeded to bite him. After Mr. Coates was finally able to get the cane away from her, he claimed she threw a pot with hot grease at him, burning his left arm.'

Is it me and maybe I am having dyslexia tonight, or is it the case that when they refer to the woman's side of the story it is an explanation, and the officers spoke with her, whereas the man's side is referred to in tecnical/police terms such as 'questioned', 'states' and 'claims'?

For starters, the headline blares "...WOMAN arrested..." but the article states BOTH were arrested.

Further, the account by the woman carefully omits the assault by hot grease (maybe she thought no one would notice, lol). As usual, she had not a scratch on her, but assumed she could call the police to do her bidding.

He, on the other hand [forgive pun], was bitten and burned, and I'd wager had more of a mark on his shoulder than she had on her throat. Situation reversed: he goes directly to jail, article never written.

And although they were "unable to determine" the primary aggressor:

Ms. Coates was advised by officers that she was placed under arrest for criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature because she threw grease on husband and caused his injury.

I know, just had to arrest the man.

Finally the cherry on the cake, read the assholier-than-thou comment following the article (probably Biden in disguise).
