"Why men in ads are dumb, goofy or completely inept "
Article here. Excerpt:
'Silly men. You can't take them anywhere.
If they're not messing up your house, running into glass doors or trying in vain to outsmart an air freshener, you'll find them eating the inedible or falling down for no reason whatsoever.
At least, that's what some advertisers would have you believe. More and more marketers are trying to tap into the overwhelming buying power of wives and mothers at the expense of their other halves. Dads are dumb, boyfriends are bumbling and husbands are utterly hopeless as brands strive to relate to women by showing men as especially goofy or incompetent.
"They're applying that same formula every time you see an ad," said Deborah Adams, senior vice-president of Harbinger Communications, a consultancy firm that focuses on marketing to women. She's seen the trend rise over the years. "It's not just advertising, it's in pop culture, depicting men in a very narrow, stereotypical view."'

Lessons of History
A few decades ago advertisers depicted blacks in stereotypical racists terms. Was this a ploy to tap into the enormous buying power of Whites? Of course this isn't done now. Has purchasing by Whites fallen off? No, the opposite is true.
So, it stands to reason that depicting men of all races as bumbling fools is really misandry for misandry's sake not as an advertising ploy. And how about the buying power of men? I buy my own groceries, clothes, cars and everything else myself without the input of the female's wisdom of the market. Also, I notice that the customers in supermarkets pushing around the carts making buying decisions are more or less evenly split between men and women. Somebody in marketing is not doing the job. They are missing critical social and demographic changes in the market place. I would fire the misandric lot.

Yes Luek is right. This makes no sense at all. If anything it just shows how unimaginative advertising is able to do little else than reflect back societies crudest prejudices.
it's not necessarily hatred that drives this misandry
me thinks.
it's just that (most) white males are the only group left
who won't whine and call names (sexist, racist), at
the drop of a hat if not being depicted as anything but the
most brilliant, wonderful, loving bla bla bla that ever lived.
more densely challenged males look upon women with an almost worshipful attitude,
probably because of this relentless programming, from birth.
any comedian making a joke about ANY group BUT white males will likely
be crucified by the misnomered msm.
imho the very idea of a hate crime is an extension of this fabrication,
born of feminist and racially misguided dogma.
The best thing for men to do!
