MSN: 'No One Believed Me'

Article here. Excerpt:

'Four Sacramento County Sheriff's cars pulled up in front of David Woods's house. He tried to explain to them what happened. But the lead deputy cut him off: "Yeah, that's fine. Put your hands behind your back."

David said, "No, wait, she stabbed me ... there's the knife. See the knife? See my neck wound? See?"

"Put your hands behind your back. Turn around," the deputy replied.

"No," David protested. "She stabbed..."

The deputies drew their weapons. David's little daughters came running out of the back bedroom pleading, "Leave Daddy alone! Mamma tried to hurt him with a knife!"

One deputy, a woman, took the children in the bedroom and shut the door. David stood there, cuffed.'

Years back I was a volunteer probation officer in the state of WI. I was going to visit a client and saw a man sitting on the steps next door to where I was going. He was holding his head and sobbing quietly. A cop came up and started talking to the guy. The man told the cop what had happened. His woman had hit him in the head with the phone book, and hit him again while he was calling 911. I heard the cop tell the guy that if anyone went to jail it would be him, those as the cop said are the rules. The cop asked the guy if he still wanted someone to go to jail. I overheard all of this. We are being oppressed openly within our own country, manipulated, lives destroyed, and it is done with a wink and a smile. Perhaps some of the attorneys that read these pages and feel the need for change can draft documents to start the impeachment process for politicians that don't address the real needs of the people. I'm sure a grass roots movement gaining signatures could gain some attention. Equal rights. A renovation of our so called "justice" system. It is our right to demand this.
