Non-custodial father tries to save child but is ignored by CPS

A non-custodial father tried in vain to access the CPS system to save his children from abuse, but failed. One child was eventually murdered by the child's mother's live in boyfriend and while he was given a stiff sentence, that is locking the barn door after the horse escapes, as the old saying goes. In my opinion the non-custodial father was ignored simply because he was a male, which is misandry, and in this case it resulted in a child's death. Excerpt:

'TACOMA, Wash. -- A man who fatally injured a 3-year-old boy when he hurled him in a fit of anger has been sentenced in Tacoma to 50 years in prison.

Noah Jeremiah Thomas was sentenced Friday in Pierce County Superior Court in the death of Michael-Kekoa Ravenell last May 28, when he was babysitting the boy.

The 25-year-old, who was dating the boy's mother, pleaded guilty in March to homicide by abuse.
...

Nearly two months before the fatal injuries, the boy's father had called Child Protective Services when he suspected abuse.

It was the first of what the boy's father said were many suspicious marks on both his son and daughter.

"And he had bruising on the side of his head that was tender," said Michael Ravenell, the boy's biological father, in an interview earlier this year.

The case file showed CPS assigned an inexperienced social worker with just three months on the job to Kekoa's case.
...
The social worker never had a doctor examine the boy even though his father had informed her about the bruises.'

I have mixed feelings about CPS and the foster child system, and speak from first hand experience since I was in the CPS/foster care system before I was adopted.

In my situation, they removed me and my brother from our birth mom, but let our other older siblings remain.

My other siblings died in a fire due to neglect (home alone).

I sometimes wonder why they did not remove all of us.

In this article it seems that they ignored the father. Too bad, the little boy would probably be alive if they hadn't. I wonder if the father ever considered seeking full custody, or taking matters into his own hands by confronting the boyfriend after he noticed the bruises.

If I ever suspected anyone of harming my children, I would definitely confront them and not wait or count on any government agency.

But not much chance, as my kids are never out of my sight, unless they are with family.
