Robert Bly events at the University of Minnesota

Via email:

Dear MensActivism,

It is with great pleasure that I announce two exciting events sponsored by the University of Minnesota Libraries.

First, there is an exhibit showcasing materials from the Robert Bly Papers held by the University of Minnesota. The exhibit is running now through May 9, 2009. You may view this dynamic exhibit at the Elmer L. Andersen Library on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota. For directions and more information on the exhibit, please go to: http://blog.lib.umn.edu/lib-web/events/2009/01/the_pen_still_moves_freely_rob_1.html.

In addition, there will be a creative and artistic conference entitled Robert Bly In This World which will be held April 16-19, 2009 on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota, as well. Here a link to that website: http://staff.lib.umn.edu/communications/bly2009/. Complete registration information is included on the site. There are also links to print out promotional flyers for circulation to spread the word about this exciting event.

We hope you will be able to take advantage of these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to celebrate Robert Bly's life and career, while also experiencing Robert's and others' performances of his poetry. Please let me know if you would like more information; and if you have any questions on either of these offerings, feel free to contact me. We look forward to seeing you here!

Best regards,

Archivist for the Robert Bly Papers
