Bronx Woman Held in Death of Grandson
Story here. Excerpt:
'A 4-year-old boy was found beaten to death in his grandmother’s Bronx apartment, and she has been charged with his murder, the police said Sunday.
The boy, Kevion Shand, died of blunt impact injuries and brain hemorrhaging, according to the medical examiner’s office.
His grandmother Angela Barksdale, 45, was charged with second-degree murder, said Steven Reed, a spokesman for the Bronx district attorney’s office.
...
It’s a sad case,” said Brett Wilkerson, 37, who said Ms. Barksdale welcomed him to the building when he moved in in 2001. “You never know who you’re living next to.”
Kaprisha Foster, 19, said Ms. Barksdale had let her stay in her apartment when she locked herself out. She added that Ms. Barksdale was “not the type of person” to hurt someone.
...
Mr. Anaya described Kevion as a friendly boy who always said hello and showed no signs of abuse.
Ms. Barksdale was expected to be arraigned Sunday night or Monday morning.'

What's the Fuss?
This is simply a case of post-partum abortion. Doesn't matter that it wasn't her kid. What mattrrs is that she had CHOICE!
Let Equality flourish, the chips fall where they may.

A comment like that would make a feminist's head explode! That's an excellent point. To give women a taste of what it's like to be a man regarding reproductive rights, imagine if women had to pass an exam to be granted the right to have their babies. To prove they are fit mothers. If they failed to pass, they would be forced to get an abortion or give the kid up for adoption.
I think that would be a good idea because it would not only show the mother how the father feels when he doesn't even get a say in the matter, and it would prevent the children from being raised by unfit parents.
Of course, since the father has no choice in the matter, and is on the hook financially if she does have the kid (no choice given to him there either), he should not have to take an exam like this, since he's already being scrutinized far more than the mother.
I understand that it was actually the grandma's negligence that lead to this child's death, but I can't help but think to myself sometimes since women are the primary child abusers, maybe they shouldn't have the right to choose whether they become parents or not. I don't actually mean that, but it sure feels good to say just to make a feminist angry.
