'CLEVELAND — A defense attorney says an Ohio woman charged with drowning her two young daughters in a bathtub heard voices urging her to kill.

Twenty-three-year-old Amber Hill has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. During opening statements Tuesday, her defense attorney said Hill had been increasingly troubled and depressed leading up to the deaths of her daughters on Oct. 1, 2007.

I don't understand why insanity is even a defense. Especially her defense.

If you heard voices in your head telling you to kill somebody, why oh why would you not go see a doctor, or a psychiatrist. Why oh why would you listen to them? How is insanity still a defense? Oh.. she wasn't in her right frame of mind... whatever...

I feel really bad for the children who die this way. There's no justice for them.
