Story here. Excerpt:
'Youngsville police arrested a woman Monday after she allegedly shot her boyfriend in the back in front of police officers.
...
The suspect, Carronda Lynette Syon, had apparently called 911 dispatchers and told them her boyfriend was coming to the residence, according to Youngsville Police Chief Earl Menard.
Menard said there was some indication that the suspect did not want her boyfriend there.
When an officer arrived, both the victim and suspect were standing on the porch.
The victim started walking toward the officer when Syon allegedly shot him in the back, according to Menard.'

Is It Just Me...
...or is Mensactivism.org beginning to look like a cross between "Girls Gone Wild" and a police blotter.
I think there should be less of the murder and mayhem, and a lot more reporting of the laws, policies and pronouncements that are going to affect men and fathers down the road.
An occasional crime or egregious miscarriage of justice is fine, but a steady diet of this is no way to build a movement.
I GET IT! I GET IT, ALREADY! Women do some crappy stuff. Enough, already.
I see Your Point -- But --
As long as these stories are ignored by the MSM, I believe they still have relevance. Many of these situations show a sentencing disparity when compared to male crimes. As for a 'Steady 'Diet', if you scroll through the archives there are many posts that deal with other topics. When CNN, FOX, and MSNBC show some equity and use female crimes as lead story, maybe these stories might become irrelevant.
I think we're also fighting cherry picked, manipulated feminist statistics which are used to advance their misandric agenda. If it weren't for MANN, few people would realize women commit domestic crimes and enjoy a judicial advantage. I think MANN also benefit men who might not check out the site too often -- a constant reminder gets our point across. While I agree these articles are often similar, each comment creates a different and unique debate. I've always felt MANN is more about member input, each submission is just a medium to create dialogue.
Every member is encouraged to contribute stories/articles. There is no monopoly, so my suggestion is do some research and use the submission option as a way to incorporate your opinion. This is a news network and recently domestic abuse by females seems to be increasing. If you have any suggestions about different topics, I'm sure Matt would take them into consideration.
There are a number of topics MANN focuses on.
-- Domestic Abuse/VAWA
-- Education
-- Judicial Bias
-- Health
-- Feminist Theory
-- Male Bashing
-- Father Rights
-- Wage Gap
-- Misandry
-- Military
-- Homelessness
-- Junk Science
-- Relationships
-- Economic Truths/Fallacies
-- Female Rapists
-- Suicide
-- Child Abuse
To name a few.
