Men To Walk In High Heel Shoes To Support Violence-Free Homes

'HENDERSONVILLE – Starting at 6 tonight, men will wobble in women’s high-heeled shoes through downtown Hendersonville to support violence-free homes. Proceeds from sponsored walkers in the event will go to Mainstay, Henderson County’s domestic violence prevention agency and emergency shelter.
The walk is open to male community members and leaders will proclaim their solidarity in support of violence-free homes by marching in high heels. Elected officials, educators, students, law enforcement officers, and others are expected to participate. The Blue Ridge Roller Derby girls will lead the walk.
Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Mainstay’s Purple Ribbon Thrift Store. The walk will proceed up 5th Avenue to Main Street, and will end in the front of the old historic courthouse. Men are encouraged (but not required) to walk in women’s shoes and participants are being asked to get sponsorships.'

My Feet Hurt!
Well, it was a glorious event, but my feet are sore from the high heels.
It was definitely a full day filled with activities:
11:00 am -- All the men raised their hands and admitted we were all potential rapists.
12:00 pm -- Instead of apples, it was bobbing for tampons!
12:30 pm -- Lunch. No food from the patriachry, just fruit salad shaped like a vagina prepared by Mary Winkler.
1:00 pm -- NOW passed out literature about Karl Marx
2:00 pm -- All the men participated in a groin shot contest.
3:00 pm -- All the teenage boys were given a lecture on why ditch digging was better than college.
4:00 pm -- The men wrote $ 100 checks for the women to make up for the wage gap.
5:00 pm -- Joe Biden prayer
5:30 pm -- Everyone gave their favorite scenes from 'Thelma and Louise'
6:00pm -- The walk began with 'I am Woman, here me roar!' blasting from the loud speaker
8:00pm -- The event ended with readings from the vagina monologues.

It's kinds weird that some of us joke about castration, considering we're MRAs. It's ironic. But anyway, I have to agree that this event is so gynocentric, it's puke worthy. Any male that would basically admit that guys are the perpetrators of all domestic violence and allow themselves to be humiliated by wearing high heel shoes has been feminized beyond all recognition, and it is likely anything that makes him male is gone. The center getting funding from this is probably one of those ones that turns away the male victims of DV too. Makes me sick!
