Researchers at Clark University and Bridgewater State College are conducting a study on men who experience aggression from their girlfriends, wives, or female partners. If you are a man between the ages of 18-59 and have experienced aggression from your partner within the past 12 months, you may be eligible to participate in this study. We invite you to follow this link to the study webpage where you can complete an Internet survey about your experiences. Link: http://www.clarku.edu/faculty/dhines

I did not qualify for the study.
Oh well. The funny thing is I have been in a relationship over a month with my girlfriend. She has hit/slapped me in the past 12 months over an argument. Im in the age range at 25. I guess because I live in the US I didnt qualify.

Repeatedly? Then....do something about it. Either make it clear this will not be tolerated or leave.
And if it's not bad enough for either of those things..i'd question if it's really abuse.
This site often criticises women for not leaving their abusive partners. Take a stand!

Well, I referred to the study in the context that it was asking. Has she ever hit or slapped me. Which she has, on several occasions (punched in the arm checking out a girl in the mall, that kind of stuff, a small angry undertone)
I did not say she beats me, or that is physically damaging to me.
Trust me. I would never let someone cause me harm and then allow them to just walk away with no consequences. Thanks for the concern, I think I just didnt convey the whole extent of what I meant to.
No Slapping Zone
Once when I was in bed with my now ex-girlfriend, she "playfully" slapped me.
I told her, if you ever do that again, we will be on our way to the airport and I will put you on a plane back to your home.
She listened, to her credit. And never slapped me ever again.
I dumped her anyway. She was gaining too much weight.
