Duke rape false accuser to write book

She's donating a dollar from each book sale to help battered women. Maybe she should donate money to men falsely accused of rape. Its just a matter of time before this liar ends up on Oprah.

Donating proceeds to battered women really is just one more slap in the face. Jesus, how she even has the nerve, I have no idea.

I like in the article how she is referred to as 'the alleged accuser'. Like, there is doubt?

If it weren't August, I would swear this whole thing is an April fool's joke.

why aren't her children taken from her?

Whereas Mangum will "write" a book to rake in bucks (though it will of course not be written by herself), she would not be too successful on the interview circuit, since she is an illiterate stripper. On the other hand, the boys, who are intelligent and literate, will have too much integrity to write their own books (at least not until a considerable time has elapsed) (although we will get insider accounts from lawyers, journalists, etc. which will speak to the injustice done to the boys). Thus, as in the Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill case, whereas the man (men) are the only actual "victims", we will get a predominantly female viewpoint and thus the incident will eventually go down in history as being another example of patriarchal oppression.

Not that I was especially visionary, but I predicted when the Duke case blew up that Crystal would get a book deal, a TV movie deal, and a special segment on Oprah.

Well, maybe this is what passes for justice today. At least if her book sells, she won't have to prey upon gullible college boys anymore.

It is rather amazing that the person who committed a crime has not been charged with anything.

She was pretty smart though. When she told five different versions of what "happened," she set herself up for a pretty solid insanity defense.

Moral of the story? In our current justice system, lying is the best strategy.

One last thought. Let her write a book and appear on Oprah. Its a constant reminder that false accusations are real. Its ironic a stripper/hooker would become a media whore.

I firmly believe she was a also a prostitute. A lot of strippers will 'turn tricks' for a few extra bucks. Keep in mind the DNA of FOUR different men was found in her vagina. I've heard of sloppy seconds, but not fourths.

If you plan to be the country's next Pat Robertson or Jim Baker, make sure to follow these two rules:

1) Don't marry a nut-case.
2) Don't drive up and down the boulevard in full view looking for prostitutes to pick up (it's probably best to avoid strip clubs and X-rated movie theaters too).

Somehow I doubt if it will be so short and honest, but what else is there to tell?

By donating these ill gotten gains to "battered women" she's trying to portray herself, a woman, as a victim instead of the victimizer. What nerve! Any organization or person that has any decency at all should not accept any money from her.

Don't you think she should serve 3 years in prison and 10 years on probation for the crimes she committed?

This criminal should serve at least that long considering the sentences the several young men faced and what they went through. Also, some people will still think the men are guilty of something so they will always suffer some stigma from this.

The money will go directly to her bank account, rather than accumulate in unsightly bulges under her garter.
