Father-of-three branded a 'pervert' - for photographing his own children in public park

"When Gary Crutchley started taking pictures of his children playing on an inflatable slide he thought they would be happy reminders of a family day out.

But the innocent snaps of seven-year-old Cory, and Miles, five, led to him being called a ‘pervert’.

The woman running the slide at Wolverhampton Show asked him what he was doing and other families waiting in the queue demanded that he stop.

Mr Crutchley, 39, who had taken pictures only of his own children, was so enraged that he found two policemen who confirmed he had done nothing wrong.

Yesterday he said: ‘What is the world coming to when anybody seen with a camera is assumed to be doing things that they should not?'

‘This parental paranoia is getting completely out of hand. I was so shocked. One of the police officers told me that it was just the way society is these days. He agreed with me that it was madness.’"

Gary old boy, had you only cross-dressed after being on estrogen for 6 months, with a wee bit of make-up, you'd've been taken for their nanny. And they would have said nothing.

What's the world coming to when a father can't even photograph his own children playing w/o being harassed? This reminds me of my brother-in-law telling me of a time when a woman he worked with pretty much accused him of being a pervert when he told her that he cuddled with his son. A father can't even express his affection for his children without being branded, where a mother could do the same things without fear of any stigmatization. It's pathetic.

A mother complained to the women who was running the slide. Oh gee, it is just women being women. When it comes to children "you can't be too careful!" Even if it involves losing their minds.

Let me see, women complain that fathers do not get involved enough in their children's lives. When they do, fathers are perverts. There is no way a father can win.
