NY Post: Cheating Husband 'A'-OK with corporate sponsors

Essay here. Would we ever see a woman chastised to this extent because of an affair? At this point it's not substantiated but the media doesn't care. It's interesting and disturbing how their associating rape and domestic violence with this situation. It seems the author of this article believes Alex Rodriguez should be shamed and cast aside by these corporate endorsements. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when a wife cheats on her husband she's the victim because he was an 'unloving' man who drove her to an affair. A man is simply considered pig. Excerpt:

'"He's not accused of rape and he didn't kill any dogs - so A-Rod's all good.
...
"Wife-beating would hurt him, underage girls would hurt him, a gay lover would hurt him, but run-of-the-mill affairs - that's a non-issue in American life," said branding expert Howard Bragman, head of the public-relations agency Fifteen Minutes.
...
But bedding strippers and late-night engagements with Madonna? That won't bother A-Rod sponsors like Nike, Pepsi or Topps, Bragman said.

"We just don't hold affairs against people anymore," he said.'
