Anti-paternity fraud bill gains traction

Domestic violence takes physical and non-physical forms. Men and children suffer considerable acute and long term emotional, psychological, economic and social harm from paternity fraud, and as such, paternity fraud represents one of the more common forms of domestic violence against men and children.

Unfortunately, in many countries, the law offers no protection to the male victim or child of this form of domestic violence. This rewards and encourages the victimizers leaving men and children largely defenceless. The coercive power of the state is used to continually perpetrate the ongoing victimization of the male spouse - even after the relationship has ended. Government agencies responsible for the integrity of birth records accept birth registration forms without paternity testing. In some countries a duped husband may incur the responsibility of fatherhood and sign the birth registration forms believing that he is the biological father of the child. In doing so, in some countries, he becomes legally liable for life for the child even when it is proven with DNA evidence later that he is not the biological father of the child and was deceived by the mother.

Unfortunately, the law often assumes that the male spouse is the biological father of any children that are born during the marriage. This represents one of the common sexist positions embedded in law in this area that dates back to times when women were powerless under the law, when adultery was a seriously punishable crime, and before the invention of safe and effective paternity testing which - if made standard a standard part of antenatal or post-natal testing could virtually eliminate this form of domestic violence.

Children suffer when they discover that the man they thought was their biological father is proven not to be. Identity issues seriously affects a person's mental health. This was proven with a great deal of testimony before various governments' legislative committees by the people that were conceived by use of anonymous egg and sperm donors. The egg and sperm donors are now required to provide identity records and major medical information for the rest of their lives to assist those who were created by means of egg and sperm donors. Child victims of paternity fraud are deprived of important major medical information that they would have if they had been raised and had an ongoing relationship with their biological father.

This paternity fraud circus is another mess that the Family Courts and the child support agencies have allowed to continue because there is money to be extorted.

In quite a few states, the courts apply the rule of "social bonding" to claim that a father-child relationship has been established even if DNA tests prove that another man fathered the child.

Also, time limits to contest paternity are often involved - sometimes as little as six months.

More than a few soldiers in Iraq have been served "in abstentia" with paternity claims and never know about them until their deployment is over. By then, the mommy has secured child support enforcement.

Moral of the story - do not ever lose track of your sperm if you value your liberty.

There is a very simple solution to this problem and every state should pass a bill to mandate having paternity DNA tests at a child's birth. Without them then a father is not legally regarded as the father. What a simple solution to put an end to this problem.

Mandatory paternity tests would reveal that approximately 20% - 35% of baby daddies are not the baby's biological father.

Logically this means the same percentage of women who became pregnant were cheating on their husband or partner; or, they simply targeted the higher earning sperm donor as the dad.

That would be a cruel slap in the face to all our social notions about the "fairer sex," Chivalry, and assumptions about fidelity.

Even if mandatory paternity tests happen, the lawyers will still make their bank through appeals and palimony and divorce.

On balance it could save a man 18 years of child support payments.

all these lies, fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud, just to protect the women.
everybody needs to sacrifice to protect adulterous women. destroy what was handed down generation after generation to appease what seems to pass for women in this society.

And if I ever do conceive, I'll be sure to get a paternity test done. I'm not going to be the victim of a stupid "so-called" justice system, which rewards fraudulent actions. I think Lautar summarized it all when he said, "We're having trouble starting our own family because they're stealing our money," Lautar said. "This woman and man are committing fraud, and the court is supporting it." That's sad! Liberty and justice for all... or for some? Obviously it's the latter of the two. I really should get started writing that book "J is for a Joke of a Justice System".
