Teenager is jailed over taxi rape lie

A teenager who falsely accused a taxi driver of rape has been jailed after the man proved his innocence by producing a recorded conversation of her repeatedly asking him for sex.

In court she pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice and was jailed for eight months by Judge Roger Thorn, QC, who told Campbell that her lies might have had devastating consequences. Story here.

Yes 8 months is getting off a little too easy. On the other hand, it is more than she would get if she killed him.

Think of all the innocent men in jail that couldn't produce a tape to show she was lying!!

Don't Women Realize that making false rape allegations against innocent men ties up the same justice system that brings to justice the real perpetrators of such a crime? I think that they're true hypocrites for trying to pull stunts like this, as they make the real victims have to wait for justice. Speaking of justice, I think there's a lack thereof herein, as 8 months is not that big a sentence for almost ruining a man's life. She should have gotten sentenced to whatever the man would have got sentenced to if found guilty of the crime he didn't commit. That's what I think.
