Sexist jokes can increase discrimination

Article here.
Surprise...it only about discriminating against women, despite the fact it would have been incredibly simple to do the exact same experiment with both genders. And of course, no mention of the rampant misandry and man-bashing in the media.

More like "FemScience". This wouldn't be the first such article from "LiveScience".
Speaking of humor, once again The Onion has made its point with this: Female Serial Killer Has To Work Twice As Hard To Achieve Notoriety
Yes indeed, women are victims it seems in everything they do.
Is This A Sexist Joke?
Q. How can you tell a blonde has had a bad day?
A. She has a tampon tucked under her ear and she can't find her pencil.
You guys are killing me!
MCC - The Onion does it again! Thanks for the link!
Anthony - I wouldn't say it's sexist. I've known quite a few blondes that this has happened to. Several brunettes, too, come to think about it. If it were left to me, I'd file it under "Educational - Other."
sexist jokes have negative effect
This story sounds significant for those on the anti misandry front. TV channels allow misandry in adverts and programmes, as it is their right to depict any story, in a liberal democracy. These research findings, if the same when men are the butts of the jokes, could change all that. If men are no longer humilited and dehumanized by sexist humour, it will lessen their tendancies to become violent, or to aspouse violence, against women, and most importantly, against other men. A good news day!
Good finding
OK, thanks to that kind professor, now we know how to decrease wasting money on various feminist-lobbied programs.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute...
"We found that, upon exposure to sexist humor, men higher in sexism discriminated against women by allocating larger funding cuts to a women’s organization than they did to other organizations," Ford said."
So sexist men discriminate more against women's organisations than they do against...what? The natural comparison would have been "men's organisations". But Ford doesn't say that; instead he finishes with the decidedly limp "other organisations". But so what? I would, for example, find it perfectly acceptable to approve of funding being given to an organisation dedicated to, say, finding a cure for leukaemia in children, than to a women's group. What is wrong with that?
But Ford cannot make his comparison with men's organisations, for the simple reason that THERE ARE NO MEN'S ORGANISATIONS TO MAKE ANY COMPARISON WITH. In other words, his analytical and logical powers have deserted him as he fails to notice the glaring discrmination against men that is already endemic and embedded in society. Instead his blinkered vision only allows him to see discrimination against women, so he reverts to wailing against any threat, however weak (and this is very weak indeed - it's totally theoretical) to the privileged standing of women for whose benefit sexist discrimination has already worked very nicely in practice, thankyou.
Which incidentally explains why they couldn't conduct the same experiment with women; when they came to the crucial step of asking women whether they would withdraw funding from men's organisations, the answer would have had to be "what men's organisations?"
Civilisation: man's greatest, and most unappreciated, gift to women
That's a statement with no
That's a statement with no force behind it, the same as saying "Sexist jokes can reduce discrimination." The word "can" is the admission that nothing's been proven.
Humorous disparagement? WTF?
"We believe this shows that humorous disparagement creates the perception of a shared standard of tolerance of discrimination that may guide behavior when people believe others feel the same way."
This degree of sophistication in mangling the English language is precisely why we need more Women's Studies programs.
To translate the academic-feminist jargon above into actual communication ---
"Comedy is dangerous. It leads to free thought among people who get it. It cannot be tolerated."
Where's my honorary Ph.D. from Hillary's alma mater?
I'd bet that feminist lies have an even more pronounced effect!
Once men have found out we've lied to by feminists, repeated exposure to the debunked lies lead to even more discrimination against women.
There is zero chance that I will donate a penny to women's causes under any circumstances. This includes organizations that are undermined by feminists.
It Depends....
It is not a sexist joke if it is told by an LBGT comic ...
That's a lesbian, bi-sexual, gay, trans-gendered comic. (The comic only needs to qualify in one of these categories. More than one would be oppression by the Evil Patriarchy.)
Also, it is never funny if Kim Gandy tells the joke secondhand.
Otherwise, you have to decide when to laugh...
