NCFM-LA List of Media Mentions for DV Awareness Month

We turned up the heat for DV Awareness Month by sending an NCFM news release and writing letters to editors every day re biased DV articles.

As a result we generated 6 university newspaper stories on DV, had a spat with Gloria Steinem in the Capital Times, were on Dr. Phil, and printed at least 17 letters to editors (LTEs). The LTEs listed are the ones we know printed; there are more we don't know of. For each LTE that printed there were about 5 that didn't. Many LTEs were sent in the past few days so there will be more printing soon, but this list is limited to October. Thank you everyone who participated or who had their own projects (RADAR, etc.). For a more complete list and links see our media page. -- Marc A.

I didn't hear about NCFM being on that show. Anywhere I can watch that? I'd like to see how Dr. Phil and the audience reacted.

"Anywhere I can watch that? I'd like to see how Dr. Phil and the audience reacted."

We're working on getting a DVD and putting it onto the internet but it's taking time because I don't have the know how and we need more volunteers.

NCFM-LA's president was on only a short time, about 20 seconds, pointing out the statistics on paternity fraud in response to Allred's claim that it's "rare." They cut out our other comments in response to Allred's claim about deadbeat dads. The main guy debating Allred was Carnell Smith of Citizens Against Paternity Fraud and he did a great job. The audicience was definitely more on his side than Allred's, and they were angry at the mom for the fraud, but they also felt the man handled it wrong when he found out, by cutting off relations with the kid abruptly and quickly and telling her about it. But they also recognized that he regretted that and was trying to resolve it, whereas the mom showed little remorse at all for what she had done. The show got the issue out, but of course could have been better, had they allowed more statistical responses and more information about how common it is and about defaults, etc. If and when we get it online I'll announce here. Meanwhile you can get a copy from the Dr. Phil Show. It aired 10/29/07.

NCFM has accomplished an incredible amount of media exposure for father's rights, especially if you consider the pervasive misandry in the MSM. Just getting through the ideological tampon filter is a challenge!

Now, multiply these achievements by 3000%, and then perhaps Congress might allow some objective men's rights testimony to sneak in under the radar during the hearings for the automatic reauthorization of VAWA 2010 -2015.

MRA's continue to mostly resemble the ancient Spartans.

The odds of victory against feminism are similar, but integrity has no price.

Thanks Marc for working so hard and making this so successful. Even the more shy activists among us feel emboldened when the ball gets rolling as much as it did this past month.

We all have some reason to smile amidst the usual offensive stench of the gender feminists' d.v. poo. You have done much to lift us above their muck. :-)
