Hearing set for female teacher accused of sex crime

I can flood this site with female rape cases against male students. They are so easy to find. Excerpt:

"The 24-year-old female teacher appeared with her attorney, James Rumsey, in front of Douglas County District Judge Stephen Six.

The woman, who was in her first year of teaching at LHS, has been suspended from the school district, with pay. The teacher was arrested March 16 for allegedly having sex with the student between August and mid-March. She has pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and two counts of criminal sodomy."

...because of the two sodomy charges. It is not frequent that we see women charged with sodomy - though I see absolutely nothing that would would either stop a woman from committing sodomy either digitally or with an object or make her any less likely then a man to commit sodomy - it is simply not something most people associate with female sexual behavior. There must be some interesting - not meaning nay disrespect to the victim - facts or allegations I would think that would lead to such charges.

Of course little MISS accused rapist gets paid vacation while men accused of rape get fired. Only one gender is innocent until proven beyond any doubt whatsoever. Men are guilty until proven innocent and even then are still guilty in the eyes of the public when it comes to sex crime.

Isn't it a little weird then that women make up less then one percent of registered sex offenders and even less - nearly non-existent = of the prison population of those sent to prison for sex crimes?

Though personally I am 100% opposed to the very idea of offender registries existing in the first place as I know they are counter productive - doomed to fail from inception - and inevitably over the course of time have the exact opposite affect on society that they were originally conceived for. If we are going to have these registries to satisfy the general publics perversions shouldn't we include the female rapists on them as well?

Sodomy refers to basically anything besides male-female vaginal intercourse. Oral sex is "sodomy", which I'll assume is what they're talking about.

I have never in my life heard anyone use the term sodomy (which does not mean anything but heterosexual intercourse - even under the law) to refer to oral sex. I have also never seen a case where some one was charged with sodomy when they only had oral sex and penis in vagina intercourse with the victim.

Sodomy has a specific meaning both in public perception and in legal terms.

1. anal or oral copulation with a member of the opposite sex.
2. copulation with a member of the same sex.
3. bestiality (def. 4).

You're right its most often attributed to anal sex but I'd bet money in this case they're talking about oral sex.
