Female Student Admits to Incredible Lie That Got Auburn Football Player Kicked Off Team
Article here. Excerpt:
'Auburn University dismissed running back Jovon Robinson—formerly the No. 1 junior college player in the country—after a female student accused him of assaulting her.
"He did not meet my expectations of what it takes to be an Auburn Tiger football player," said head coach Gus Malzahn, according to al.com.
But Robinson never assaulted anyone. His purported victim made it up entirely. The woman now readily admits to fabricating the allegation out of spite—she was angry at Robinson for making her leave his room.
It's an astonishing, malicious lie that might have factored into Auburn's decision to release Robinson, though the university maintains that it had other issues with him. It's also a powerful repudiation of the leftist-feminist idea that victims of assault and sexual assault deserve to be automatically believed.'

Maturity and empathy
Maturity and empathy is greater in women than men? How are false accusations consistent with this?
Headline is misleading that it caused his dismissal.
From the OP article: "the university maintains that Robinson was dismissed "for a number of incidents" and wouldn't comment on whether the woman's accusation had anything to do with it."
If you read other articles you will see that Jovan Robinson had many altercations including a bar fight with other players and it is rumored that he failed his drug test. ESPN reported that he continually missed classes and meetings.
False accusations are a big concern, so the article is good for that, but I just want to make sure we all have the complete facts.
Quote from a different article:
"Robinson did not want to address what did happen that led to his dismissal, which he felt was an overreaction by Malzahn due to the ordeal with former wide receiver D'haquille Williams. The highly-regarded wide receiver was finally dismissed in Oct. 2015 following an altercation at a local bar where Williams punched then-teammate Xavier Dampeer, who suffered a broken jaw."
