‘Happy Father’s Day, Mom’ Angel Soft’s Newest Campaign
Article here.
'On the newest commercial for Angel Soft titled ‘Happy Father’s Day, Mom,’ several adults tell the stories of how their mom had to play both parental roles. On Sunday, June 21st fathers are celebrated for this special holiday.
Their stories are tear jerkers as they talk about how their mom not only juggled a family, jobs and personal lives, but made sure there kids had the best life she could give them. One of the men even said during the video, “She really is the most amazing mother, but she was an incredible father.”
Although some fathers may feel a bit offended, Todd Wingfield, Angel Soft’s Senior Brand Manager, told Centric TV, “We celebrate families in all forms, shapes and sizes. Our vision is that this is the first in a series of unique stories we’ll be sharing. Dads also play an important role and exemplify those traits of being soft and strong every day.”'

Thomas,
Thank you for your feedback on Angel Soft’s video.
We never intended to diminish fatherhood in our celebration of mothers who've raised families on their own.
The people in this video share very personal stories about being raised by single mothers, and we simply wanted to be inclusive of the families who aren’t able to celebrate Father’s Day with a dad. As someone who grew up in a single-parent home, I can assure you that the role of a father can never be replaced.
Thanks again for weighing in and if you have children, happy Father’s Day to you.
Theresa

That's fine that they celebrate all types of families, but this holiday is specifically for DADS!!! (and men who fill the role as dad) Why did they feel the need to take this holiday away from dads to make more room for moms? Mothers day is for celebrating moms, even those moms who *try* to fill both rolls.

We never intended to diminish fatherhood
then, why did they?
they simply (yet again) take father's day and turn it about to (yet again) make a f--king feminist issue!
i'm getting rather fed up of this rubbish, to be honest.
To: Kris
yes, exactly!
the fact that they more and more frequently do this is utter bollocks!
what would happen if they did the same regarding mums on
mother's day???
(rhetorical question, right?)
