In Grammy video, Obama says of rape, ‘It’s not okay – and it has to stop’

Article here. Excerpt:
'The public service announcement represents the latest installment in the White House's ongoing "It's On Us," campaign, which aims to end sexual assaults on college campuses. The administration began the effort in September, with the support of major college sports leagues and prominent celebrities.
Obama asked the artists featured at the Grammys to ask their fans to make the same pledge that these prominent figures have made, along with students from more than 200 colleges and universities, several collegiate sports organizations, and some private firms. He notes that nearly 1 in 5 women in the U.S. has experienced rape or attempted rape, and that more than 1 in 4 has suffered some form of domestic violence.'

It's like no one has told him the 1 in 5 figure is false...
... or he is deliberately promulgating a falsehood for some reason (political gain?).
My money's on the second possibility, given the fact that his own administration has debunked this stat.
Dangerously reminiscent of Germany in the 1930's and 1940s
Exactly! We already know that there is no "crisis" on university/college campuses. The only problem is that it is WAY too easy for a female to make a false accusation and it is WAY too easy for an innocent man to be convicted with no valid, tangible and truthful evidence. We need to put a stop to these witch hunts. Men are being thrown in jail (read that as internment camps) based on a faulty or flawed evidentiary basis to be re-educated. Gee. Where have we seen THAT before? Woman cheats on her boyfriend/husband/partner and gets caught. Excuse? I was raped. Woman gets drunk and has sex with someone her friends don't approve of. Excuse? I was raped. Woman has sex with someone and regrets it later. Excuse? I was raped. Woman has dreams of fame. Makes up story of rape to get in the media. Woman has mental need to get sympathy and be seen as a victim. Solution? I was raped. Oh and let's not forget that rape is not necessarily intercourse anymore. Rape or sexual assault can be something as simple as a man's hand brushing up against a woman's arm or finger. It's not what happened anymore, it's the implied intent. Something that is almost impossible to prove and more impossible to defend against. Hence what appears to be an outbreak of rape. Men need to take back their place in society, but we can't do that until we overcome the huge sexual assault industry and incredibly sexist anti-male laws that are on the books. Wake up Obama. Don't drink the female chauvinist Kool-Aid. It's poisonous!
