'Sandberg, who is on the board of The Walt Disney Co., ABC’s parent company, presented Clinton with the “Champion of Peace Award.” Matching the evening’s theme of Stronger Women, Stronger Nations, Clinton emphasized the impact of advancing the rights of women and girls around the world.

“You cannot have real peace and security if you marginalize and exclude women,” said Clinton. “You cannot have decent, just societies if you abuse women. You cannot move on a path to democracy and open economies if you isolate and marginalize half the population. For some that was self-evident, others have had their eyes opened over the past 20 years.”

WfWI’s message to help women help themselves and their communities dovetails with Sandberg’s own nonprofit movement, “LeanIn.org,” which promotes women and girl in leadership. “When you give money to men, they spend it on whiskey and themselves…when you give to women, they spend it on their children,” said Sandberg at the gala. “If women and girls everywhere were treated as equal to men in rights, dignity and opportunity, we would see political and economic progress everywhere,” she added.'

best be careful. look what happened when they gave a 'peace' award to the last highly inserted democrat.

1. he quietly went out and tried to overthrow the Honduran government and install an illegal fascist president (zelaya(sp?) in 2009). almost caused a civil war? never heard about it you say? yeah, that's a surprise.

2. he and his a.g. got caught selling thousands of assault weapons to mexican drug dealers and eventually had to (illegally) claim executive privilege to stop rep. Issa's probe into his misdeeds. the only reason he got caught was that American border guards wound up getting killed by these unmarked/untagged weapons, not to mention untold numbers of innocent mexicans.

3. Benghazi???

4. hundreds of innocents killed for being in the vicinity of u.s. drone strikes.

didn't I see it reported on the news where he also said he was good at killing?

just sayin', better be careful w/ those 'peace' awards around dem's seeking high office. it appears to act like some kind of future forgiveness award.

Obviously Sheryl hasn't met my dad. The loving, caring, gentle soul who worked at manual labour for 12 hour days for weeks at a time in a camp out of town to feed his family and keep a roof over their heads.

I think feminists really do have daddy issues. If any of them had a dad as awesome as mine, they would never be able to spout the hateful garbage about men which they do.

I have one thing to say to Sheryl: if the product you're peddling were any good, you wouldn't need anti-male sexism to sell it.
