Wife accused of pushing husband off cliff

Story here. Excerpt:

'(CNN) -- A woman in Montana is accused of pushing her husband off a cliff after an argument. The pair had been married for just more than a week.

Jordan Linn Graham made an initial appearance in court Monday to face a charge of second-degree murder. If convicted, she faces life in prison.

According to a criminal complaint, Graham recently told a friend she was having second thoughts about marrying Cody L. Johnson. CNN affiliate KECI reported the couple had been married for just more than a week.
...
Graham told police that her husband grabbed her by the arm. She turned and removed it.

"Graham stated she could have just walked away, but due to her anger, she pushed Johnson with both hands in the back and as a result, he fell face first off the cliff," the complaint read.'

Maybe it's too early to call it, but when it's "she said" and the victim is male, what's going to be the net outcome? The defense will say it was self-defense because she said he grabbed her arm. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. But there's no other witness. If two men were involved in this scenario, would the pusher get the benefit of the doubt? Pretty unlikely. But the pusher is female in this case, so we know where it's gonna go. Guess this is one to watch but my guess is she gets off entirely or only gets manslaughter or something quite a bit less than murder.

The fact that she waited for days to report the fall speaks loudly here. It implicates her, and shows she had something to hide. I doubt the accident theory will hold up in court given the long delay in reporting the crime. Hopefully this crime will get a lot of media attention, and if found guilty, the perpetrator will get a long prison sentence rather than another pussy pass (probably probation and community service).
