Lies, Damn Lies, and Rape Statistics

Article here. Excerpt:

'Brown is in the midst of a pandemic. All across America, colleges are cesspools of forcible sex crimes, including rape, which make the college campus one of the most dangerous places for women. According to many activists and politicians, one in every four women will experience rape or attempted rape in their college career.
...
So why is no one talking about this widespread issue? One reason is that it is not widespread. The campus rape pandemic seems to be a theory based upon poor survey methodology and repeated lies.
...
When held up to such scrutiny, Koss’s survey holds as much water as a sieve. If one looks at the actual numbers for sexual assault on college campuses, her results seem almost laughable.

Thanks to the Clery Act, universities in America make public all reported campus crimes. This allows anyone to look at every instance of reported crimes on the campus and, in particular, all incidents of sexual violence. I decided to take a look at the reported violent sexual crimes for Brown, and fortunately for women but perhaps disappointing for feminists, the result came nowhere near Koss’s figures. For the past three years, the average number of reported forcible sex offenses (which range from groping of private parts to penetration) was 8.66. The number varied from as low as seven to as high as 10. With an estimated 3,141 female undergraduates, 0.28 percent are victims of reported sexual violence each year. This is inconsistent with the one in four statistic, but on par with the national average.'

If I counted right, there are 48 women's colleges in the US, as of that list's compilation, and assuming it was accurate when compiled. There used to be more but times have changed, just as there used to be a lot more men's colleges, too.

Anyway, I have always wondered just this: if feminists are so certain that college women are in such danger of being raped so much, then why don't they all get together and found a huge new university for women only-- or just tell female students to go to one of these women's colleges? The argument I suppose against trying to funnel 100s of thousands of female students to single-sex colleges is that they don't have the capacity to take them all, and besides, they may not have the faculty or prestige of other co-ed colleges female students may want. Fair enough. So with all the massive support feminists claim to have from all quarters, you'd think they could indeed find a way to found a great big uni that is single-sex, with fences around the campus, etc., like I described in another post. If men really are so incredibly dangerous to women, shouldn't female students and their parents be ready to just jump at the chance to be part of this idea? But why stop at one uni, they could eventually create a huge network of women-only universities!

So really, if it's all as bad as they say it is... and they've been saying it for decades... why haven't they taken this obvious step? Don't want to get attacked by lions? Remove lions from your envornment and the problem goes away.

Maybe they don't pursue this kind if action though because they know this: they're full of sh*t and everyone else knows it. Maybe that's why.

"The campus rape pandemic seems to be a theory based upon poor survey methodology and repeated lies."

Witch-Hunting of Males is the real pandemic happening in America, and it's especially happening on college and university campuses where feminist lies about rape are rampant. Feminist Lies Make Bad Laws.
