'By Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to the President

On Monday, I attended the launch of EMPOWERED, Alicia Keys’ new campaign with Greater than AIDS to reach and inform women about HIV/AIDS, at an event hosted by the Kaiser Family Foundation. This is the second event that Alicia Keys and I have attended at Kaiser within the last year, both focused on ending AIDS.
The women were thrilled to meet Alicia Keys, and Alicia, who was deeply moved by their stories, committed to add her powerful international voice to helping to end the epidemic here in the U.S. Alicia and I intended to lift up the women. But really, it was their strength, courage, resilience, good spirit, and humor that lifted us up.'

So, there's a bus accident...
... and 10 men are injured while 3 women are, too, all with the same injury: a simple fracture of the arm. Five EMTs arrive on scene. Four of the EMTs rush to treat the female victims first.
And there you have it.
I doubt it will get through moderation, but ...
My comment:
Nothing like gendering a universal problem to demonstrate just how much equality really means. Same thing happened with Domestic violence. give it 20 years and we'll be told how much worst women have it in regards to aid than men. It will become a common believe that aids doesn't affect men, and that only men transmit it to women, not the other way around. This is how we build a better tomorrow, with love and respect for all (so long as they are women, right?)
