Indiana Dad Sentenced to Five Years for Criticizing Judge, Custody Evaluator

Article here. Excerpt:

'An Indiana man faces five years in prison because he criticized the judge and the custody evaluator in his divorce and custody case. Here’s Dan Brewington’s website and here’s a link to his brief appealing his criminal convictions.

Dan and Melissa Brewington were married in 2002. They had two daughters before Melissa filed for divorce in early 2007. Both parents sought primary custody of the children, but Melissa was awarded primary custody during the pendency of the case. Dan had visitation three days each week. During the entire course of the two and a half year custody case, no allegation of violence, physical or sexual abuse, neglect, drug or alcohol abuse was ever leveled at Dan Brewington. And of course he had his daughters three days a week, so someone must have thought he was a pretty good dad.'

why isnt someone out there arresting these people? this is stomping on this mans right to be a father and his right to free speech both are worthy of jail time for this judge and the prosecutor...

It truly pisses me off how in the States men are constantly being tossed into jail for no justifiable reason, and with those responsible for this rarely if ever, being held accountable.

Meanwhile, women are constantly avoiding jail time for no justifiable reason, and the ones responsible for that are dodging accountability as well.

What a feminist mess! This is in Indiana, the same state where the Chris Reber incident occurred. I bet even she won't get 5 years in prison, and her crime is far worse than just criticizing corrupt officials.

in times of old, or in commie countries, where criticism of one's betters could/can get you severely punished by despots. i guess here in amerika of barak we have reverted back. when honest men get no justice from unqualified pretenders, well that can lead to other types of justice. put the wrong man's son/brother in prison for free speech and you may wish you really were a superior being.

this an abuse of power. wouldn't hold my breath waiting on any judicial review to correct it. long ago these frauds quit practicing the law of our forefathers. can't have that type law w/o strict adherence to the precepts of law.
