"Silenced US lawmaker performs The Vagina Monologues"
Story here. Excerpt:
'A US lawmaker who says she was barred from speaking in the Michigan House because Republicans objected to her saying the word "vagina" during debate over anti-abortion legislation performed The Vagina Monologues on the Statehouse steps — with a hand from the author.
Eve Ensler, whose groundbreaking play about women's sexuality still packs theaters 16 years after it debuted, oversaw Monday night's performance by Democratic state Rep. Lisa Brown, 10 other lawmakers and several actresses.
...
"If we ever knew deep in our hearts that the issue about abortion ... was not really about fetuses and babies, but really men's terror of women's sexuality and power, I think it's fully evidenced here," Ensler told The Associated Press by phone Monday before arriving in Lansing.'

She's right
It's men fear of a woman's power to kill an unborn baby simply because she wants to.
And if the Vagina Monologues is a reflection of female reality, well, it's not a very pretty picture.
And don't forget about a woman's power to enslave!
She has a baby and someone has to pay for it. And if he doesn't have the money, off to jail he goes.
Feminist Rapists
The original text of The Vagina Monologues justified female on female rape and child abuse:
A 24-year-old woman supplies a 13-year-old girl with alcohol, then sexually seduces her.
The little girl: "Now people say it was a kind of rape ... Well, I say if it was rape, it was a good rape..."
"She gently and slowly lays me out on the bed... "I’ll never need to rely on a man."
*The current Vagina Monologues still uses the rape reference but they changed the age of the girl from 13 to 16.
