'Fathers of America, you may consider yourselves indispensable, but a new survey says you're only worth about one-third as much as mom around the house.

In fact, you are not even keeping up with inflation.

Insurance news and data website Insure.com released its annual Father's Day Index on Monday, an attempt to calculate the value in wage terms of the work a father typically does around the house.

The value this year was some $20,248, about $1,000 less than the inflation-adjusted value of 10 years ago.'

I can't stand articles that say how much housework is worth or men's or women's work is worth. They are just fluff and not even news worthy.

I'd like to see what the totals would be if you added each parents' income to the figures provided. I take it then we'd see some equality. If a man is wholly or mainly responsible for bringing in an income, it's only natural and logical he wouldn't be able to do as much at home. I've noticed that feminists love to omit very vital parts of the big picture to make women out to be victims. I'm glad people aren't as dumb as MuffPost makes them out to be. Those comments are priceless!
