FYI, the organization "Get on the Bus" does the same at men's prisons on Father's Day. They bring busloads of children to visit their incarcerated parents and promote healthy parent-child relationships. They have been doing these Mother's Day and Father's Day events for many years.

More should be done to help men in prison, and I have heard that there are more parenting classes being offered. Close contact and healthy relationship with their children is probably the biggest influence on what will happen when they get out of prison. The only people I have known to quit their drug induced and criminal ways are those that use wanting to be a good parent as their motivation. Keeping fathers close to their children is best for everyone.
Thanks, Kris
Thanks for the info. I'm glad to know this group helps fathers as well as mothers keep in contact with their children. As you say, keeping fathers close to their children is best for everyone.
