The senate voted on the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) yesterday. Sen. Leahy's version passed with 68 votes for and 31 against. Now it moves to the House.

Please do not get disheartened. Look at the bright side: 31 senators were brave enough to vote no. Imagine how difficult that was in this election year.

We need to thank these senators, especially Sen. Grassley for providing a substitute amendment, and we need to do it right now.

Between this and the white house drive to ensure no post secondary course goes undominated by women (http://news.mensactivism.org/node/18385), college and university in the US just lost a whole lot more male potential. We should be seeing 80% female attendance rates in no time at all.

Yes, I did e-mail my two US Senators thanking them for voting against the unconstitutional VAWAct.

Now it is on to the House and let's win there! Sound historically familiar?
